Relight Art Africa
When I started to put my art out into the world I went under the pseudonym Pisces Painter. I was inspired by my two little buddies in my studio. They used to keep me company and provide me with inspiration. They were my two male Bettas also known as Siamese Fighters. They are such beautiful fish it is impossible not to be mesmerized by their grace. However Bettas only live so long I still have a male betta in my studio but my inspiration has grown beyond that now.
I have had a spiritual awakening and found that new age philosophy no longer aligns with my beliefs and who I am spiritually and for that purpose I have chosen a new pseudonym, Relight Art Africa. I was born and have spent my entire life in Africa. I love Africa.
The Relight part refers to how my passion in art has been significantly reignited since I have found my spirituality and is the driving force behind my practice. It feels much more authentic even though it means more work of now combining my old portfolio with my new one.
