Blossom of Gratitude

This is a conceptual and experimental piece I created. It is a mixed media piece on canvas, with acrylic paint, papier-mache, sulphite board, glue, plastic and aerosol paint.

The world and society have made all the necessary changes, humans have become the true custodians of earth. Society has begun to function on a higher level and the triple bottom line is the truest measure of success. Environments and habitats are growing and thriving. Food shortages are a thing of the past, animals that were nearing extinction have been protected and programmes have been put in place to save their species. Humans have managed to stabilize the climate and reverse some of the damage that has resulted from past practices. The earth expresses it highest gratitude to its inhabitants by flowering out its Blossom of Gratitude. The earths own special way of telling humans that we are finally on the right track.
