    Visiobibliophobia

    Visiobibliophobia – the fear of posting on social media. It should probably include posting on the internet in general. When I created the original painting I was in love with watercolors and going through quite an intense moment in my life. The chaos had struck, I took my painting with me and continued to work on it through all the confusion.     Labello Competition

    Labello the lip gloss manufacturing company ran a competition. It was to design the packaging for two of their products; Strawberry Shine and Blackberry Shine. Unfortunately I am not a graphic designer so my entire entry was two actual watercolor paintings. The template was provided so my paintings were on plain paper that has the template printed which consisted of the the cut out and the “Labello” font both of which I left white. The concept was Miss Blackberry Shine, keeping it cool and fresh, ready for a hot day chilling on the beach.     I miss the ocean

    My most recent series is called I miss the ocean. It consists off four images that I feel when I view the ocean. The ocean, to me, is beautiful but at the same time powerful and mysterious. The paintings have been completed during the Covid-19 lockdown. In South Africa we have had a very strict lockdown, the first six weeks we were not allowed to exercise or walk dogs outside of our homes. We were only allowed to go to the shop’s to get essential goods which were also severely restricted in terms of what we were allowed to purchase. My family enjoy going for a drive over Chapman’s Peak…
